Assessments & Testing

We offer a variety of different assessments specifically for children, teens, and adults across our psychology, speech therapy, and occupational therapy services. Assessments and comprehensive testing can provide valuable insight into our unique strengths, challenges, and areas of interest.

Assessments can also be a meaningful step toward understanding and supporting yourself, or your loved one, as they work toward their goals.

Are you considering booking an assessment with a psychologist?

Psychological assessments vary and may explore different areas of development or psychosocial functioning, which your psychologist will discuss with you first. Our team are dedicated to providing comprehensive support, and use a range of different evidence-based research, assessments, and diagnostic tools to provide additional insights and clarity.

We recognise the need for clear and compassionate understanding, which is why our assessments aim to explore your child’s strengths and differences.

Each child is unique, and our psychologists work closely with families, educators, and other health professionals to ensure you feel validated and supported during your journey.

Our psychologists often combine a variety of different testing modules, observations, and information to inform a comprehensive and holistic report, which includes information from parents, guardians, and teacher/educators. Assessments may explore various emotional or behavioural presentations, cognitive and learning profiles, or more complex neurodevelopmental profiles such as ADHD or Autism, which your psychologist will discuss with you.

Following your assessment, your psychologist will schedule a feedback session to explore any insights, as well as recommendations that aim to provide clear and practical next steps. Our goal is to empower families through insight, validation, and individualised strategies that consider your child’s home, school, and community life.

Understanding the assessment process

The first step for all assessments is your initial appointment with one of our psychologists. During your initial appointment, our psychologists will engage in a collaborative discussion with you to gain insight into your (or your child’s) unique needs, concerns, and goals.

We understand that each person is different, and your initial consultation is a key foundation for determining which subsequent assessments may be the most beneficial. By tailoring our approach to your circumstances, we aim to provide personalised insights that guide the most effective and supportive course of action.

If you are considering an assessment, we suggest registering your interest early, as our assessment waitlists are influenced by school deadlines, specialist appointments, and other factors.
